योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-134, verse-17

तावद्रक्तं तया पीतं प्राणाकृष्टं नभःस्थया ।
यावच्छुष्का सती तृप्ता पीना सा चंडिका स्थिता ॥ १७ ॥
tāvadraktaṃ tayā pītaṃ prāṇākṛṣṭaṃ nabhaḥsthayā ,
yāvacchuṣkā satī tṛptā pīnā sā caṃḍikā sthitā 17
17. tāvat raktam tayā pītam prāṇākṛṣṭam nabhaḥsthayā
yāvat śuṣkā satī tṛptā pīnā sā caṇḍikā sthitā
17. tayā nabhaḥsthayā prāṇākṛṣṭam raktam tāvat pītam
yāvat sā caṇḍikā śuṣkā satī tṛptā pīnā sthitā
17. That blood, which was drawn by her life-force, was drunk by her, who stood in the sky, until Caṇḍikā became satisfied, stout, and remained (in that state), with (the source) dried up.
