निरञ्जनतया बुद्धो जनतां पालयंश्चिरम् ।
जीवन्मुक्ताकृतिर्नित्यं मनू राज्यमपालयत् ॥ ३ ॥

3. Manu, enlightened and unblemished, ruled the people for a long time. Eternally embodying the form of one liberated while living (jīvanmukta), he governed his kingdom.
