ये वज्रसाराः सुदृढा दृश्यन्ते ते क्षयं गताः ।
कल्पस्यान्ते यथेन्द्वर्कधराब्धिविबुधादयः ॥ ४० ॥

40. ye vajrasārāḥ sudṛḍhāḥ dṛśyante te kṣayam gatāḥ,
yathā kalpasya ante indu arka dharā abdhi vibudhāḥ ādayaḥ.

40. Even those who appear to be as hard as a diamond and exceedingly firm ultimately perish, just like the moon, the sun, the earth, the oceans, and the gods at the end of a cosmic eon (kalpa).
