योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-23, verse-59

जेतुमन्यं कृतोत्साहैः पुरुषैरिह पण्डितैः ।
पूर्वं हृदयशत्रुत्वाज्जेतव्यानीन्द्रियाण्यलम् ॥ ५९ ॥
jetumanyaṃ kṛtotsāhaiḥ puruṣairiha paṇḍitaiḥ ,
pūrvaṃ hṛdayaśatrutvājjetavyānīndriyāṇyalam 59
59. jetum anyam kṛta-utsāhaiḥ puruṣaiḥ iha paṇḍitaiḥ
pūrvam hṛdaya-śatrutvāt jetavyāni indriyāṇi alam
59. iha anyam jetum kṛta-utsāhaiḥ paṇḍitaiḥ puruṣaiḥ
pūrvam hṛdaya-śatrutvāt indriyāṇi alam jetavyāni
59. Here, by wise men who are zealous to conquer others, the senses must first be thoroughly conquered, for they are enemies residing in the heart.
