योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-4, chapter-23, verse-54

अनार्तेन हि सन्मानो बहुमानो न बुध्यते ।
पूर्णानां सरितां प्रावृट्पूरः स्वल्पो न राजते ॥ ५४ ॥
anārtena hi sanmāno bahumāno na budhyate ,
pūrṇānāṃ saritāṃ prāvṛṭpūraḥ svalpo na rājate 54
54. anārtena hi sanmānaḥ bahumānaḥ na budhyate ।
pūrṇānām saritām prāvṛṭpūraḥ svalpaḥ na rājate ॥

54. Indeed, a person who is not afflicted or already content does not truly appreciate honor and high regard. Just as a small flood during the rainy season does not appear significant to rivers that are already full.
