मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-20, verse-54

सोऽहं त्वां समनुप्राप्तस्तपसो विघ्रकारिणम् ।
तं निवारय भूपाल भागभाङ्नृपतिर्यतः ॥५४॥
54. so'haṃ tvāṃ samanuprāptastapaso vighrakāriṇam .
taṃ nivāraya bhūpāla bhāgabhāṅnṛpatiryataḥ.
54. saḥ aham tvām samanuprāptaḥ tapasaḥ vighnakāriṇam
tam nivāraya bhūpāla bhāgabhāk nṛpatiḥ yataḥ
54. I am he who has come to you concerning the one who causes obstacles to my spiritual practice (tapas). O King, stop him, because a king is indeed entitled to a share (of protection and religious merit).
