मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-20, verse-1

जड उवाच ।
प्राग्बभूव महावीर्यः शत्रुजिन्नाम पार्थिवः ।
तुतोष यस्य यज्ञेषु सोमावाप्त्या पुरन्दरः ॥१॥

prāgbabhūva mahāvīryaḥ śatrujinnāma pārthivaḥ .
tutoṣa yasya yajñeṣu somāvāptyā purandaraḥ.

1. Jaḍa said: 'Formerly, there was a very powerful king named Śatrujit. Indra (Purandara) was pleased in his sacrificial rituals (yajña) by receiving soma.'
