मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-20, verse-36

देवत्वममरेशत्वं तत्पूज्यत्वञ्च मानवाः ।
प्रयान्ति वाञ्छितं वान्यद् दृढं ये व्यवसायिनः ॥३६॥
36. devatvamamareśatvaṃ tatpūjyatvañca mānavāḥ .
prayānti vāñchitaṃ vānyad dṛḍhaṃ ye vyavasāyinaḥ.
36. devatvam amareśatvam tatpūjyatvam ca mānavāḥ
prayānti vāñchitam vā anyat dṛḍham ye vyavasāyinaḥ
36. Those human beings who are resolute and industrious attain godhood, lordship over immortals, or worship by them, or any other desired goal.
