iti pitrā svayaṃ pṛṣṭau praṇipatya kṛtāñjalī .

Jaḍa said: Having been questioned in this manner by their father himself, the two fortunate sons of the lord of serpents (uragādhipati) bowed down, folded their hands (kṛtāñjali), and replied.
