मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-20, verse-52

क्लिश्यत्यहर्निशं पापो यश्च त्वां दानवाधमः ।
तमप्येनं समारुह्य द्विजश्रेष्ठ हनिष्यति ॥५२॥
52. kliśyatyaharniśaṃ pāpo yaśca tvāṃ dānavādhamaḥ .
tamapyenaṃ samāruhya dvijaśreṣṭha haniṣyati.
52. kliśyati aharniśam pāpaḥ yaḥ ca tvām dānavādhamaḥ
tam api enam samāruhya dvijaśreṣṭha haniṣyati
52. O best of twice-born ones (dvija), he will mount this (horse) and kill that wicked, vile demon who torments you day and night.
