महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-35, verse-33

ततस्तां वीरुधं सोमं संकल्प्य सुमहातपाः ।
ऋचो यजूंषि सामानि मनसा चिन्तयन्मुनिः ।
ग्रावाणः शर्कराः कृत्वा प्रचक्रेऽभिषवं नृप ॥३३॥
33. tatastāṁ vīrudhaṁ somaṁ saṁkalpya sumahātapāḥ ,
ṛco yajūṁṣi sāmāni manasā cintayanmuniḥ ,
grāvāṇaḥ śarkarāḥ kṛtvā pracakre'bhiṣavaṁ nṛpa.
33. tataḥ tām vīrudham somam saṃkalpya
sumahātapāḥ ṛcaḥ yajūṃṣi
sāmāni manasā cintayan muniḥ grāvāṇaḥ

33. nṛpa,
tataḥ sumahātapāḥ muniḥ tām vīrudham somam saṃkalpya manasā ṛcaḥ yajūṃṣi sāmāni cintayan grāvāṇaḥ śarkarāḥ kṛtvā abhiṣavam pracakre
33. O King, then that sage of great asceticism (tapas), having mentally conceived that creeper as the Soma (yajña plant), and meditating upon the Ṛg verses, Yajus formulas, and Sāman chants with his mind, made the large stones into small pressing-stones (grāvāṇaḥ) and performed the Soma pressing (yajña).
