महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-9, chapter-35, verse-20

तयोश्चिन्ता समभवद्दृष्ट्वा पशुगणं महत् ।
कथं न स्युरिमा गाव आवाभ्यां वै विना त्रितम् ॥२०॥
20. tayościntā samabhavaddṛṣṭvā paśugaṇaṁ mahat ,
kathaṁ na syurimā gāva āvābhyāṁ vai vinā tritam.
20. tayoḥ cintā samabhavat dṛṣṭvā paśugaṇam mahat
katham na syuḥ imāḥ gāvaḥ āvābhyām vai vinā tritam
20. mahat paśugaṇam dṛṣṭvā tayoḥ cintā samabhavat
katham imāḥ gāvaḥ āvābhyām vinā tritam vai na syuḥ
20. Upon seeing the large herd of cattle, a concern arose in the minds of the two of them: "How can these cows become exclusively ours, without Trit?"
