महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-56, verse-7

संजय उवाच ।
अपराह्णे महाराज सूतपुत्रः प्रतापवान् ।
जघान सोमकान्सर्वान्भीमसेनस्य पश्यतः ।
भीमोऽप्यतिबलः सैन्यं धार्तराष्ट्रं व्यपोथयत् ॥७॥
7. saṁjaya uvāca ,
aparāhṇe mahārāja sūtaputraḥ pratāpavān ,
jaghāna somakānsarvānbhīmasenasya paśyataḥ ,
bhīmo'pyatibalaḥ sainyaṁ dhārtarāṣṭraṁ vyapothayat.

pratāpavān jaghāna somakān sarvān
bhīmasenasya paśyataḥ bhīmaḥ api atibalaḥ

mahārāja,
aparāhṇe pratāpavān sūtaputraḥ bhīmasenasya paśyataḥ sarvān somakān jaghāna.
api ca,
atibalaḥ bhīmaḥ dhārtarāṣṭram sainyam vyapothayat.
7. Sañjaya said: "O great king, in the afternoon, the glorious son of the charioteer (Karna) killed all the Somakas while Bhīmasena was watching. And Bhīma, exceedingly strong, crushed the Dhārtarāṣṭra army."
