महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-8, chapter-56, verse-53

यथा भूतगणान्हत्वा कालस्तिष्ठेन्महाबलः ।
तथा स सोमकान्हत्वा तस्थावेको महारथः ॥५३॥
53. yathā bhūtagaṇānhatvā kālastiṣṭhenmahābalaḥ ,
tathā sa somakānhatvā tasthāveko mahārathaḥ.

tathā saḥ somakān hatvā tasthāva ekaḥ mahārathaḥ
53. yathā mahābalaḥ kālaḥ bhūtagaṇān hatvā tiṣṭhet,
tathā saḥ mahārathaḥ ekaḥ somakān hatvā tasthāva.
53. Just as all-powerful Time (kāla) remains standing after destroying countless hosts of beings, so too that solitary great charioteer (mahāratha) stood firm after slaying the Somakas.
