27.
A `śakaṭa` (cart) formation, with its rear half like a lotus, was devised by Drona. Jayadratha, the lord of Sindhu, will be stationed in the very center of the lotus's pericarp, within a needle-like enclosure (sūcīpāśa), protected by heroes (vīras) who are fiercely arrogant in battle.
