महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-53, verse-24

सोऽहमिच्छाम्यनुज्ञातुं रक्षितुं वा महात्मना ।
द्रोणेन सहपुत्रेण वीरेण यदि मन्यसे ॥२४॥

24. Therefore, I wish to be permitted (to fight) or to protect (you) alongside the great-souled Droṇa and his heroic son, if you agree.
