महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-135, verse-53

स निहत्य बहूञ्शूरानश्वत्थामा व्यरोचत ।
युगान्ते सर्वभूतानि भस्म कृत्वेव पावकः ॥५३॥
53. sa nihatya bahūñśūrānaśvatthāmā vyarocata ,
yugānte sarvabhūtāni bhasma kṛtveva pāvakaḥ.

yugānte sarvabhūtāni bhasma kṛtvā iva pāvakaḥ
53. saḥ aśvatthāmā bahūn śūrān nihatya vyarocata yathā

53. Having struck down many heroes, Aśvatthāmā shone brightly, like the fire that turns all beings to ashes at the end of an eon (yuga).
