महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-106, verse-52

जघान चतुरश्चाश्वान्सूतं च त्वरितः शरैः ।
नाराचैरर्करश्म्याभैः कर्णं विव्याध चोरसि ॥५२॥
52. jaghāna caturaścāśvānsūtaṁ ca tvaritaḥ śaraiḥ ,
nārācairarkaraśmyābhaiḥ karṇaṁ vivyādha corasi.

nārācaiḥ arkaramyābhāiḥ karṇam vivyādha ca urasi

52. Quickly, with arrows, he struck down the four horses and the charioteer. With iron arrows that shone like sunbeams, he also pierced Karna in the chest.
