महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-7, chapter-106, verse-34

ततोऽचिन्त्य महावेगान्कर्णकार्मुकनिःसृतान् ।
समाश्लिष्यदसंभ्रान्तः सूतपुत्रं वृकोदरः ॥३४॥
34. tato'cintya mahāvegānkarṇakārmukaniḥsṛtān ,
samāśliṣyadasaṁbhrāntaḥ sūtaputraṁ vṛkodaraḥ.

34. Then, the undismayed Vrikodara (Bhima) faced Karna, the son of the charioteer, enduring the inconceivably swift arrows that shot forth from Karna's bow.
