महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-6, chapter-95, verse-7

तत्र कार्यमहं मन्ये भीष्मस्यैवाभिरक्षणम् ।
स नो गुप्तः सुखाय स्याद्धन्यात्पार्थांश्च संयुगे ॥७॥
7. tatra kāryamahaṁ manye bhīṣmasyaivābhirakṣaṇam ,
sa no guptaḥ sukhāya syāddhanyātpārthāṁśca saṁyuge.
7. tatra kāryam aham manye bhīṣmasya eva abhi-rakṣaṇam
saḥ naḥ guptaḥ sukhāya syāt hanyāt pārthān ca saṃyuge
7. tatra aham bhīṣmasya eva abhi-rakṣaṇam kāryam manye.
saḥ naḥ guptaḥ sukhāya syāt ca saṃyuge pārthān hanyāt.
7. Therefore, I consider the protection of Bhīṣma himself to be the main task. Protected by us, he would bring us happiness and would slay the Pārthas in battle.
