महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-3, chapter-185, verse-53

इत्येतन्मात्स्यकं नाम पुराणं परिकीर्तितम् ।
आख्यानमिदमाख्यातं सर्वपापहरं मया ॥५३॥
53. ityetanmātsyakaṁ nāma purāṇaṁ parikīrtitam ,
ākhyānamidamākhyātaṁ sarvapāpaharaṁ mayā.
53. iti etat mātsyakam nāma purāṇam parikīrtitam
ākhyānam idam ākhyātam sarvapāpaharam mayā
53. Thus, this Purāṇa, named Mātsyaka, has been recounted. This narration, which removes all sins, has been told by me.
