अथाब्रवीदनिमिषस्तानृषीन्सहितांस्तदा ।
अहं प्रजापतिर्ब्रह्मा मत्परं नाधिगम्यते ।
मत्स्यरूपेण यूयं च मयास्मान्मोक्षिता भयात् ॥४८॥

48. athābravīdanimiṣastānṛṣīnsahitāṁstadā ,
ahaṁ prajāpatirbrahmā matparaṁ nādhigamyate ,
matsyarūpeṇa yūyaṁ ca mayāsmānmokṣitā bhayāt.

48.
Then the unblinking one (Viṣṇu), as Prajāpati Brahmā, spoke to those assembled sages: 'I am Prajāpati (the lord of creatures), Brahmā. Nothing superior to Me is to be found. And you all were delivered by Me from this fear while I was in the form of a fish.'
