महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-2, chapter-16, verse-31

यथासमयमाज्ञाय तदा स नृपसत्तमः ।
द्वाभ्यामेकं फलं प्रादात्पत्नीभ्यां भरतर्षभ ॥३१॥
31. yathāsamayamājñāya tadā sa nṛpasattamaḥ ,
dvābhyāmekaṁ phalaṁ prādātpatnībhyāṁ bharatarṣabha.

ekam phalam prādāt patnībhyām bharatarṣabha
31. Then, having understood what was appropriate, that best of kings gave one fruit to his two wives, O bull among the Bhāratas!
