महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-18, chapter-5, verse-47

मातापितृसहस्राणि पुत्रदारशतानि च ।
संसारेष्वनुभूतानि यान्ति यास्यन्ति चापरे ॥४७॥
47. mātāpitṛsahasrāṇi putradāraśatāni ca ,
saṁsāreṣvanubhūtāni yānti yāsyanti cāpare.

47. Thousands of mothers and fathers, and hundreds of sons and wives, have been experienced in various cycles of worldly existence (saṃsāra); they pass away, and others will likewise pass away.
