महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-16, verse-48

बह्व्यो दृष्ट्वा शरीराणि क्रोशन्ति विलपन्ति च ।
पाणिभिश्चापरा घ्नन्ति शिरांसि मृदुपाणयः ॥४८॥
48. bahvyo dṛṣṭvā śarīrāṇi krośanti vilapanti ca ,
pāṇibhiścāparā ghnanti śirāṁsi mṛdupāṇayaḥ.

48. Many women, having seen the bodies, cry out and lament. And others, with their soft hands, strike their heads.
