महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-11, chapter-16, verse-18

पश्यैताः पुण्डरीकाक्ष स्नुषा मे निहतेश्वराः ।
प्रकीर्णकेशाः क्रोशन्तीः कुररीरिव माधव ॥१८॥
18. paśyaitāḥ puṇḍarīkākṣa snuṣā me nihateśvarāḥ ,
prakīrṇakeśāḥ krośantīḥ kurarīriva mādhava.
18. paśya etāḥ puṇḍarīkākṣa snuṣāḥ me nihateśvarāḥ
prakīrṇakeśāḥ krośantīḥ kurarīḥ iva mādhava
18. mādhava puṇḍarīkākṣa me nihateśvarāḥ prakīrṇakeśāḥ
kurarīḥ iva krośantīḥ etāḥ snuṣāḥ paśya
18. O Lotus-eyed one (puṇḍarīkākṣa), O Mādhava, behold these my daughters-in-law, whose husbands have been slain, with dishevelled hair, crying out like ospreys.
