योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-91, verse-7

शुक्लकृष्णारुणादीनां नित्यं ज्योत्स्नाङ्गशायिनाम् ।
पुत्राणामिव वर्णानां सर्वेषां देहदः पिता ॥ ७ ॥
śuklakṛṣṇāruṇādīnāṃ nityaṃ jyotsnāṅgaśāyinām ,
putrāṇāmiva varṇānāṃ sarveṣāṃ dehadaḥ pitā 7

7. Just as a father gives bodies to his sons, so too is there a father who bestows forms upon all colors—white, black, red, and others—which constantly manifest as luminous forms.
