योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-145, verse-70

अन्तर्निमीलिता ह्येताः पश्यन्त्युन्मीलिता बहिः ।
धातूनामिति वैषम्याद्भ्रान्तिमिन्द्रियवृत्तयः ॥ ७० ॥
antarnimīlitā hyetāḥ paśyantyunmīlitā bahiḥ ,
dhātūnāmiti vaiṣamyādbhrāntimindriyavṛttayaḥ 70
70. antaḥ nimīlitāḥ hi etāḥ paśyanti unmīlitāḥ bahiḥ
dhātūnām iti vaiṣamyāt bhrāntim indriyavṛttayaḥ
70. hi etāḥ indriyavṛttayaḥ antaḥ nimīlitāḥ bahiḥ

70. Indeed, these sense-activities (indriyavṛtti), while inwardly 'closed,' perceive things outwardly 'open.' Thus, due to the imbalance of the bodily constituents (dhātu), they experience delusion (bhrānti).
