हतप्रवीरा व्यथिता राक्षसेन्द्रचमूस्तदा ।

4. hatapravīrā vyathitā rākṣasendracamūstadā ,
jagāmābhimukhī sā tu kumbhakarṇasuto yataḥ ,
āpatantīṃ ca vegena kumbhastāṃ sāntvayaccamūm.

4. Then, the distressed army of the lord of rākṣasas, whose chief warriors were slain, turned towards where Kumbhakarṇa's son was. And Kumbha quickly consoled that approaching army.
