वाल्मीकि-रामायणम्       vālmīki-rāmāyaṇam - book-5, chapter-2, verse-46

इति संचिन्त्य हनुमान् सूर्यस्यास्तमयं कपिः ।
आचकाङ्क्षे तदा वीरा वैदेह्या दर्शनोत्सुकः ।
पृषदंशकमात्रः सन्बभूवाद्भुतदर्शनः ॥४६॥
46. iti saṃcintya hanumān sūryasyāstamayaṃ kapiḥ ,
ācakāṅkṣe tadā vīrā vaidehyā darśanotsukaḥ ,
pṛṣadaṃśakamātraḥ sanbabhūvādbhutadarśanaḥ.

46. Having thus reflected, Hanumān, the valiant monkey, then eagerly awaited the sunset, longing to see Vaidehī. Having assumed a size no bigger than a cat, he became wondrous to behold.
