मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-128, verse-6

शासतीमां मयि महीं परिभूय बलं मम ।
सप्ताश्रममुपागम्य दष्टा मुनिकुमारकाः ॥६॥
6. śāsatīmāṃ mayi mahīṃ paribhūya balaṃ mama .
saptāśramamupāgamya daṣṭā munikumārakāḥ.

6. When I was ruling this earth, having disregarded my power, the young sages were bitten after approaching the Saptāśrama (hermitage).
