मरुत्त उवाच ।
नाहमेषां क्षमिष्यामि दुष्टानामपराधिनाम् ।
स्वधर्ममुल्लंघ्य कथं करिष्यामि वचस्तव ॥१२॥

12. marutta uvāca .
nāhameṣāṃ kṣamiṣyāmi duṣṭānāmaparādhinām .
svadharmamullaṃghya kathaṃ kariṣyāmi vacastava.

12. maruttaḥ uvāca na aham eṣām kṣamiṣyāmi duṣṭānām aparādhinām
sva-dharmam ullaghya katham kariṣyāmi vacaḥ tava

12. Marutta said: "I will not forgive these wicked offenders. How can I transgress my own intrinsic nature (sva-dharma) and follow your command?"
