मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-128, verse-18

ततो ज्वालापरीवारमरिसंघघ्नमुत्तमम् ।
कालास्त्रं तु महावीर्यं योजयामास कार्मुके ॥१८॥
18. tato jvālāparīvāramarisaṃghaghnamuttamam .
kālāstraṃ tu mahāvīryaṃ yojayāmāsa kārmuke.
18. tataḥ jvālāparīvāram arisaṃghaghnam uttamam
kālāstram tu mahāvīryam yojayāmāsa kārmuke
18. Then, he fixed to his bow the supreme Kālāstra (weapon of Kāla), which was encircled by flames, destructive to enemy hordes, and possessed of immense power.
