क्षत्रियोऽहमिमे भीताः शरणं मामुपागताः ।
अपकर्त्ता त्वमेवैषां कथं वध्यो न मे भवान् ॥२६॥

I am a kṣatriya. These frightened ones have approached me for refuge. You are indeed the one harming them. How can you not be killed by me?
