मार्कण्डेय-पुराणम्       mārkaṇḍeya-purāṇam - chapter-128, verse-20

मार्कण्डेय उवाच ।
कालास्त्रमुद्यतं पित्रा मरुत्तः सोऽपि वीक्ष्य तत् ।
प्राहोच्चैरस्त्रमेतन्मे दुष्टशास्तिसमुद्यतम् ॥२०॥
20. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca .
kālāstramudyataṃ pitrā maruttaḥ so'pi vīkṣya tat .
prāhoccairastrametanme duṣṭaśāstisamudyatam.
20. mārkaṇḍeya uvāca kālāstram udyatam pitrā maruttaḥ saḥ api
vīkṣya tat prāha uccaiḥ astram etat me duṣṭaśāstisamudyatam
20. Mārkaṇḍeya said: King Marutta, upon seeing that weapon of Kāla (weapon of death) raised by his father, also said loudly: 'This weapon, (aimed) at me, is intended for the punishment of the wicked!'
