महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-92, verse-10

ततो विमल आदित्ये ब्राह्मणेभ्यो जनार्दनः ।
ददौ हिरण्यं वासांसि गाश्चाश्वांश्च परंतपः ॥१०॥
10. tato vimala āditye brāhmaṇebhyo janārdanaḥ ,
dadau hiraṇyaṁ vāsāṁsi gāścāśvāṁśca paraṁtapaḥ.

10. Then, when the sun was shining brightly, Janardana, the vanquisher of foes, gave gold, garments, cows, and horses to the Brahmins.
