महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-9, verse-44

सोऽवर्धत दिवं स्तब्ध्वा सूर्यवैश्वानरोपमः ।
किं करोमीति चोवाच कालसूर्य इवोदितः ।
शक्रं जहीति चाप्युक्तो जगाम त्रिदिवं ततः ॥४४॥
44. so'vardhata divaṁ stabdhvā sūryavaiśvānaropamaḥ ,
kiṁ karomīti covāca kālasūrya ivoditaḥ ,
śakraṁ jahīti cāpyukto jagāma tridivaṁ tataḥ.
44. saḥ avardhata divam stabdhvā
sūryavaiśvānaro-opamaḥ kim karomi iti ca uvāca
kālasūryaḥ iva uditaḥ śakram jahi
iti ca api uktaḥ jagāma tridivam tataḥ
44. He grew, filling the sky, resembling the sun and the sacrificial fire (Vaiśvānara). He then asked, "What shall I do?", having arisen like the sun of ultimate destruction. And, having been instructed to "Kill Indra (Śakra)!", he proceeded to heaven (tridiva).
