महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-5, chapter-9, verse-14

निर्दहन्निव चक्षुर्भ्यां योऽसावास्ते तपोनिधिः ।
तं प्रलोभयितुं देव गच्छामः सहिता वयम् ।
यतिष्यामो वशे कर्तुं व्यपनेतुं च ते भयम् ॥१४॥
14. nirdahanniva cakṣurbhyāṁ yo'sāvāste taponidhiḥ ,
taṁ pralobhayituṁ deva gacchāmaḥ sahitā vayam ,
yatiṣyāmo vaśe kartuṁ vyapanetuṁ ca te bhayam.
14. nirdahan iva cakṣurbhyāṃ yaḥ asau
āste taponidhiḥ taṃ pralobhayituṃ deva
gacchāmaḥ sahitāḥ vayam yatiṣyāmaḥ
vaśe kartuṃ vyapanetuṃ ca te bhayam
14. O god, we will go together to tempt that one who sits there like a treasury of austerity (tapas), burning as it were with his eyes. We shall endeavor to bring him under control and to remove your fear.
