महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-14, chapter-42, verse-35

प्रजनः सर्वभूतानामुपस्थोऽध्यात्ममुच्यते ।
अधिभूतं तथा शुक्रं दैवतं च प्रजापतिः ॥३५॥
35. prajanaḥ sarvabhūtānāmupastho'dhyātmamucyate ,
adhibhūtaṁ tathā śukraṁ daivataṁ ca prajāpatiḥ.
35. prajanaḥ sarvabhūtānām upasthaḥ adhyātmam ucyate
adhibhūtam tathā śukram daivatam ca prajāpatiḥ
35. The generative organ, which facilitates the procreation of all beings, is called the internal faculty (adhyātma). Similarly, semen is its material aspect (adhibhūtam), and Prajāpati (prajāpati) is its presiding deity.
