महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-56, verse-45

यथा हि गर्भिणी हित्वा स्वं प्रियं मनसोऽनुगम् ।
गर्भस्य हितमाधत्ते तथा राज्ञाप्यसंशयम् ॥४५॥
45. yathā hi garbhiṇī hitvā svaṁ priyaṁ manaso'nugam ,
garbhasya hitamādhatte tathā rājñāpyasaṁśayam.

| garbhasya hitam ā dhatte tathā rājñā api asaṃśayam

45. Just as a pregnant woman, indeed, abandoning what is dear to her and desired by her mind, dedicates herself to the well-being of the fetus, so too, without a doubt, a king should act.
