महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-56, verse-42

व्यसनानि च सर्वाणि त्यजेथा भूरिदक्षिण ।
न चैव न प्रयुञ्जीत सङ्गं तु परिवर्जयेत् ॥४२॥
42. vyasanāni ca sarvāṇi tyajethā bhūridakṣiṇa ,
na caiva na prayuñjīta saṅgaṁ tu parivarjayet.

42. bhūridakṣiṇa सर्वाणि व्यसनानि च त्यजेथान च एव न प्रयुञ्जीत,

42. O generous king, you should abandon all vices. Moreover, one should certainly not indulge in them, but rather completely shun any attachment (saṅga).
