महाभारतः mahābhārataḥ - book-12, chapter-56, verse-16

विपन्ने च समारम्भे संतापं मा स्म वै कृथाः ।
घटते विनयस्तात राज्ञामेष नयः परः ॥१६॥

16. vipanne ca samārambhe saṁtāpaṁ mā sma vai kṛthāḥ ,
ghaṭate vinayastāta rājñāmeṣa nayaḥ paraḥ.

16. And when an enterprise fails, do not, certainly, indulge in sorrow. Patience, my dear (tāta), is fitting, for this is the supreme policy for kings.
