आर्तः स पतितः क्रुद्धस्त्यक्त्वात्मानमथाब्रवीत् ।
मरिष्याम्यधनस्येह जीवितार्थो न विद्यते ॥६॥

6. Distressed, fallen, and enraged, he then spoke, abandoning (ātman) his will to live: "I will die. For one without wealth, there is no purpose in life here."
