अन्येषामपि नश्यन्ति सुहृदश्च धनानि च ।

O King, observe with your intellect that the friends and wealth of others also perish, just as misfortune (āpad) can befall oneself. Therefore, restrain, control, and subdue your senses, mind, and speech.
