महाभारतः       mahābhārataḥ - book-1, chapter-155, verse-27

ब्राह्ममुच्चारयंस्तेजो हुताहुतिरिवानलः ।
समेत्य स दहत्याजौ क्षत्रं ब्रह्मपुरःसरः ।
ब्रह्मक्षत्रे च विहिते ब्रह्मतेजो विशिष्यते ॥२७॥
27. brāhmamuccārayaṁstejo hutāhutirivānalaḥ ,
sametya sa dahatyājau kṣatraṁ brahmapuraḥsaraḥ ,
brahmakṣatre ca vihite brahmatejo viśiṣyate.
27. brāhmaṃ uccārayan tejaḥ hutāhutiḥ
iva analaḥ sametya sa dahati ājau
kṣatraṃ brahmapuraḥsaraḥ brahmakṣatre
ca vihite brahmatejaḥ viśiṣyate
27. Manifesting his brahminical power (brahmatejas), he, like a fire fed with oblations, comes together (in battle) and consumes the warrior class (kṣatra) with his brahminical guidance (brahmapuraḥsara). And when both brahminical and warrior (kṣatra) powers are established, the brahminical power (brahmatejas) is superior.
