तावत्तं कल्पकुपितो रुद्रो नेत्राग्निनादहत् ।
दाहस्फुटद्द्रुमस्थूलशिलाचटचटारवाः ॥ ६० ॥

60. Meanwhile, Rudra, enraged as if at the dissolution of a cosmic cycle (kalpa), burned him with the fire from his eye. The burning was so intense that trees and large rocks burst apart with crackling sounds.
