शनैश्चार्वाकृतिर्मेरुरासीद्धिम इवातपे ।
क्षणेनैवानलात्तस्माद्धिमवाञ्जतुवद्द्रुतः ॥ ५० ॥

kṣaṇena eva tasmāt analāt himavān jatu-vat drutaḥ

50. And slowly, Mount Meru, having a declining form, became like snow in the heat. In just a moment, from that fire, the Himalayas melted like lac.

50. לאט לאט קעה קומתו של הר מֵרוּ ונמסה כשלג בשמש, כהר הִימָוָואן שנמס כשרף בן רגע מפני אותה אש נוראה.
