योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-6, verse-55

पातनैकान्तदक्षाणि दोषाशीविषवन्ति च ।
रूक्षकण्टकलक्षाणि श्वभ्राग्राणीन्द्रियाणि च ॥ ५५ ॥

rūkṣakaṇṭakalakṣāṇi śvabhrāgrāṇīndriyāṇi ca 55
55. pātana-ekānta-dakṣāṇi doṣa-āśīviṣa-vanti ca
rūkṣa-kaṇṭaka-lakṣāṇi śvabhra-agrāṇi indriyāṇi ca
55. indriyāṇi ca pātana-ekānta-dakṣāṇi,
doṣa-āśīviṣa-vanti ca,
rūkṣa-kaṇṭaka-lakṣāṇi,
śvabhra-agrāṇi ca.
55. And the senses are exclusively skilled in causing downfall, possessing poison-snakes of faults, having thousands of rough thorns, and are also like the perilous edges of pits.
