योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-6, verse-46

नीतोऽस्मि परमं खेदमभिधावद्भिरिन्द्रियैः ।
एक एव महारण्ये तस्करैः पथिको यथा ॥ ४६ ॥
nīto'smi paramaṃ khedamabhidhāvadbhirindriyaiḥ ,
eka eva mahāraṇye taskaraiḥ pathiko yathā 46
46. nītaḥ asmi paramam khedam abhidhāvadbhiḥ indriyaiḥ
ekaḥ eva mahāraṇye taskaraiḥ pathikaḥ yathā
46. abhidhāvadbhiḥ indriyaiḥ paramam khedam nītaḥ
asmi yathā ekaḥ eva pathikaḥ mahāraṇye taskaraiḥ
46. I have been brought to extreme distress by my senses (indriya) that run amok, just like a lone traveler in a great forest (araṇya) is overwhelmed by thieves.
