योगवासिष्ठः       yogavāsiṣṭhaḥ - book-7, chapter-6, verse-54

क्षुद्रप्राणिगृहीतानि वर्जितानि कृतात्मभिः ।
रजस्तमोभिभूतानि स्वेन्द्रियाण्यवटानि च ॥ ५४ ॥

54. One's own senses are seized by petty beings, avoided by perfected souls (ātman), dominated by the qualities of rajas and tamas, and are also like dangerous chasms.
